Zuby is a rapper from the United Kingdom. You may remember him from the time he identified as a woman to smash their weightlifting records. More important than anything political, my dude's got bars. Zuby like many of you spent the pandemic weeping for society, what we've turned into, and how easy it was for everyone to let it happen. He shares some of what he learned during this thought-provoking thread. You'll be nodding along, shaking your fist, and smashing your head on your desk in agreement just like I did.
These are a few points that stuck out for me. Also, my editor Courtney has been saying all of this since day sixteen of "15 Days to Flatten the Curve."
"Propaganda is just as effective in the modern-day as it was 100 years ago. Access to limitless information has not made the average person any wiser." My only disagreement here is how the pandemic exposed that access to information is not limitless. Evident by the people who control the information being exposed for who we all thought they were. Did you feel hashtag all in this together? Do you feel hashtag free?
"Anything and everything can and will be politicized by the media, government, and those who trust them." Turn on CNN and you can see this happening in real time. Today's story is how the five states with the lowest arm-jab rates all voted for CNN's favorite former president. This is also the same CNN that attacked Fox News because the people who work there weren't posting selfies with needles in their arms.
"'The Science' has evolved into a secular pseudo-religion for millions of people in the West. This religion has little to do with science itself." One would only have to ask Anthony Fauci. Pope Tony has ruled that anyone making fun of him is literally attacking The Science literally.
"Politics, the media, science, and the healthcare industries are all corrupt, to varying degrees. Scientists and doctors can be bought as easily as politicians." Zuby left out Big Tech. They were deciding what information we were allowed to see based on the CDC and the WHO ... two GOVERNMENT bureaucracies. Both politicians and the media were pissed Big Tech wasn't suppressing information more.

The biggest pandemic had nothing to do with a virus. It was exposing how easy it is to scare people into giving up freedom, and more, how long. I keep going back to Loki's quote from Avengers: "It is the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. In the end, you will always kneel." When the government, the media, et al. try doing this again, and they will, we all need to be more prepared.
