The media has been focused on Joe Biden's epic failure getting the All-Star Game taken out of Georgia. Not as much time has been spent on his epic failure along the southern border. Yes, the crisis that Biden's incompetence is allegedly completely responsible for is still going on. Turns out, campaigning on not being Donald Trump is easier than governing as not being Donald Trump. As Biden has undone every Trump decision, the crisis on the border has grown. It's so bad, Biden is even hinting at bringing back some Trump policies. He insinuated a return to the "Stay in Mexico" policy. But this next one is REALLY going to sting.
According to the Washington Post, Biden's homeland security chief said they may start construction on the wall again.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told department employees he may restart border wall construction to plug what he called "gaps" in the current barrier.
In a conversation with ICE employees last week Mr. Mayorkas was asked about his plans for the wall and he said that while Mr. Biden has canceled the border emergency and halted Pentagon money flowing to the wall, "that leaves room to make decisions" on finishing some "gaps in the wall."
Mr. Mayorkas, according to notes of the ICE session reviewed by The Washington Times, said Customs and Border Protection, which oversees the wall, has submitted a plan for what it wants to see happen moving forward.
So many Democrats view opposing the border walls as their main personality trait. Who coulda thunk it that walls work? Other than anyone who isn't a leftist buttmunch. Or a senile old man. Or a senile old man being paraded around by leftist buttmunches. Basically, most of the idiots who didn't think the wall works is currently working in the White House.
It will be interesting to see if this actually happens. It will be entertaining to watch Jen Psaki try to spin it as not happening. Invest in popcorn futures now and start popping.
