Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all three charges for the death of George Floyd. Second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree homicide. There will no doubt be an appeal lodged by the defense, aided by comments made by Maxine Waters and Joe Biden. But for now, America is at ... peace? Leftists were left with a lot of nervous energy. Without riots and looting and burning buildings to call "peaceful protests," not all of them knew what to do with themselves. There were a few who did what left does best: hot takes, sanctimony, and shameless pandering. Also, whatever the hell Nancy Pelosi was thinking.
Let's start with "Mama."
The legal system doesn't work like that. Not that Democrats won't try to work a "George Floyd clause" in the "George Floyd policing" bill declaring double jeopardy and the Fifth Amendment to be racist and wrong. But the way things stand right now, once someone is found not guilty of a crime, you can't try them again just because of feelings.
He was a drug addict who, among other crimes, jammed a gun in a pregnant woman's stomach. If he came to Minneapolis to better his life, he sucked at it. There has to be a way to agree with the decision WITHOUT deifying him as the second coming of Jesus. We're a news cycle away from Floyd walking on water and turning the loaves into fentanyl.
Actually, it is. There was an investigation and a day in court. A jury of twelve peers listened to prosecution and defense, weighed the evidence, and issued a verdict. That's justice, whether you agree with the decision or not. AOC thinks it's not justice even though she agrees with the decision. At the end of the day, guilt or innocence isn't as important as what leftists can exploit next.
I don't even know what to say about this other than ... dafuq? There needs to be a documentary made about this tweet. My only guess is that a team of social media "professionals" fresh out of college, all of whose skin color is a varying shade of mayonnaise, sat around brainstorming. One of them pointed out how they kept hearing people chant "I can't breathe" when they watched protests on television, and this was the end result. It leaves only one very important question. What were the ideas that DIDN'T make the cut? I think the folks at Outkick need to investigate.

Pelosi's brain is obviously more Botox than cerebellum. She's at a point in her 217-year-old life where she knows she has to pander and what of the left's preferred marginalized groups she needs to pander to, but no longer knows how. Just that she needs to pander more better than any of her Democrat colleagues. We should consider ourselves lucky she wasn't wearing a dashiki and showing off her 24k gold diamond-encrusted dentures.
