Dan Crenshaw Reveals Serious Health Issue and Could Use Our Prayers

Everyone knows Dan Crenshaw is without one of his eyes. I've joked about the lack of depth perception. If you're ever in a fight with Crenshaw, you'd just have to keep throwing right hooks. Though you'd run the risk of his Navy SEAL training kicking in. Next thing you know, he's killing you with a spork he had leftover from lunch at Torchy's Tacos. What I was not aware of us that when his eye was damaged in Afghanistan, his "good eye" was damaged as well. This brings us to Crenshaw's medical update.

The congressman noticed some blurry spots in his vision. Doctors discovered his retina was detaching from his "good" eye.

This is a terrifying prognosis for someone with one eye, and the nature of the injuries that I sustained in Afghanistan. Anyone who knows the history of my injuries knows that I don't have a 'good eye,' but half a good eye. The blast from 2012 caused a cataract, excessive tissue damage, and extensive damage to my retina. It was always a possibility that the effects of the damage would resurface, and it appears that is exactly what happened.

He had emergency surgery where they put a gas bubble in his eye, which acts as a bandage for his retina. It will leave him effectively blind for about a month. Thankfully the surgery went well. Congressman Crenshaw says he's been through worse and will get through this. Though, a few prayers for a full recovery wouldn't hurt.

Please join me in praying for a speedy and full recovery for Rep. Crenshaw! When it comes to communicating what the right believes and why we believe it, he's one of the best we have. We need him in the fight, especially as the left keeps exposing plans that manage to be worse than expected. But more importantly, we just need him healthy.

Prayers up, Congressman!
