Remember the Guy Who Died 'Ingesting' Chloroquine? There's Now a Murder Investigation ...

It feels like years ago that a woman claimed her husband died ingesting chloroquine because Donald Trump said to ingest it (he didn't). Time seems to have slowed down as we enter week eleventy-twenty of the pandemic (see PETA ON CORONAVIRUS: CAN'T STOP, WON'T STOP PROTESTING and AND THEN MADONNA TALKS ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS FROM HER BATHTUB). Donald Trump has been accused of saying so many things that he didn't actually say, it's hard to keep track. But as for the man's "accidental suicide" from ingesting koi pond cleaner? Yeah, that shit is a murder investigation now.

The Mesa City Police Department's homicide division is investigating the death of Gary Lenius, the Arizona man whose wife served him soda mixed with fish tank cleaner in what she claimed was a bid to fend off the coronavirus. A detective handling the case confirmed the investigation to the Washington Free Beacon on Tuesday after requesting a recording of the Free Beacon's interviews with Lenius's wife, Wanda.

Detective Teresa Van Galder, the homicide detective handling the case for the Mesa City Police Department, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing but declined to provide additional details.

We joked about the chloroquine lady being the Carole Baskin of the pandemic. Only instead of feeding her husband to tigers, she fed her husband fish tank cleaner to help bring down his temperature. But even Courtney Love can look at this accidental death story and see the wife's story didn't add up. That's a GenX reference, Zoomers. Google it.

The obvious question is why the traditional legacy media outlets didn't ask the obvious questions about this story in the beginning. I think we need to make a few phone calls.
