This is delightful. Representative Dan Crenshaw appeared on Bill Maher’s show to talk Trump and the coronavirus pandemic timeline. Maher played a little fast and loose with the timeline of how the pandemic unfolded, and Dan Crenshaw was there to provide a few checks on Maher’s narrative.
Bill Maher gets REKT without the high production spell that is Hollywood. No phony studio audience to save him. Great job by @DanCrenshawTX. pic.twitter.com/FWBgGsYJnO

Funny thing with Maher, he can be so right you want to cry. Then so wrong you want to cry. Here Maher is so desperate to find ways to make Trump look bad, he’s trying to blame Trump for not being clairvoyant, despite Trump taking action on the virus relatively quickly considering the details and information he had at the time.
Dan Crenshaw, however, was prepared. All he had to do was reiterate what actually happened versus what Maher wished had happened. As Austen Fletcher in the tweet above points out, without a cheering audience, without other guests interrupting and coming to Maher’s aid, Maher was left exposed as Dan Crenshaw calmly dismantled every talking point Maher had doodled on his placemat.
