Bill Maher UNLOADS on Liberals Crying Racism Over ‘Chinese Virus’

The COVID-19 curve may be flattening. AKA the coronavirus aka Wuhan got you all in check AKA the kung flu aka the karate flu aka chop sick. Whether we’re completely out of the woods yet, who even knows (see Remember All the Times the Media Downplayed the Coronavirus? We Do … and Something’s Up with These COVID-19 Death Rates). But one thing most people agree with is that the world needs to question its reliance on China. Most people. There’s another group of people who think things like “Chinese virus” are mean and hurt people’s feelings. Bill Maher has no patience for those people, especially since most of them play for his team.

Congressman Ted Lieu tweeted, “The virus is not constrained by country or race. Be just as stupid to call it the Milan Virus.” No, that would be way stupider because it didn’t come from Milan, and if it did, I guarantee we’d be calling it the “Milan Virus.” Jesus fuckin’ Christ, can’t we even have a pandemic without getting offended? …

Seriously, it scares me that there are people out there who would rather die from the virus than call it by the wrong name. This isn’t about vilifying a culture; this is about facts. This is about life and death.

It’s about life and death, as long as we don’t hurt anyone’s feelings. Though let’s be honest. Anyone who complains about the Chinese flu being called the “Chinese flu,” the only feelings they really care about are their own. They want to feel superior and act like they just simply care more than you do. They also tend to enjoy the smell of their own farts.

While the rest of us are more concerned with answering important questions. Like why we’re dependent on a country for most of our medical supplies when that same country is the reason we’re in a pandemic right now?
