Vice President Mike Pence is a devout Christian, as those of you who have leftist friends on Facebook are regularly reminded. Pence is all about that Jesus-life. He prays. That’s right, he prays. He’s got to pray just to make it today. That’s an ’80s reference, Zoomers. Google it.
Because Pence openly admits to being a Christian, most in the media look at him funny for it, made even worse by being front and center of the administration’s response to PandemicMania: Cough Harder (see Doctor Suggests COVID-19 Could be LESS Deadly Than Seasonal Flu and Dr. Birx Says Initial Doom and Gloom COVID-19 Predictions Don’t Reflect Reality). Questions like this from Douchey McDoucheface at ABC News are common. Pence, however, is smart enough not to take the bait.
DOUCHEY: I ask this not in a political way, but …
I’m sorry. Please continue.
DOUCHEY: When you talk to God in your moments alone, do you find yourself worrying at all that Donald Trump is single-handedly responsible for everyone dying?
THE VICE PRESIDENT: Oh, bless your heart.
Any time anyone in the media asks about prayer, expect it to be a horrible question purely intended to mock Christians. It’s the overall belief on the left that when people say they are praying about something, that’s all they’re doing. Those of us who aren’t assholes know that is rarely the case. Prayer doesn’t replace action. Praying for guidance doesn’t mean you sit there and wait until God talks back. Praying for someone’s health doesn’t mean you just say the Our Father, then let the person fend for themselves. People who pray know this. People in the media should try it sometimes.
