Ah, 1996. Prince Charles and Princess Diana divorced, proving that love is dead. A middle-aged Eddie Murphy made us laugh with fat suits and farting. Also, court documents show that Tara Reade had told her ex-husband about sexual harassment in then-Senator Joe Biden's office. To quote noted political scientist Scooby Doo, ruh-roh!

Reade's then-husband Theodore Dronen wrote the court declaration. Dronen at the time was contesting a restraining order Reade filed against him days after he filed for divorce, Superior Court records show.

In it, he writes Reade told him about “a problem she was having at work regarding sexual harassment, in U.S. Senator Joe Biden's office."

It appears to be the only written record that has surfaced from the time that substantiates Reade shared her account in the years following the alleged incident, though a former neighbor came forward last week about similar conversations she said she had with Reade in 1995.

Joe Biden, call your office (see POLL: DEMOCRATS WANT JOE BIDEN REPLACED OVER (ALLEGED) RAPE and NYT DELETES TWEET ABOUT THE SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE AGAINST JOE BIDEN). Then have your office call your female surrogates and get them in front of the cameras so that they can call Tara Reade a liar.

Normally I'd be compelled to remind people that everyone deserves due process. But Joe Biden just this week reminded people that he doesn't believe in due process. So seriously, screw Joe Biden's due process. I'm not the one who made the rules. I'm just a comedy writer who moonlights in political snark. Who was told I hate women when I said the Brett Kavanaugh allegations looked like a political stunt.

The only question now: Does the DNC drag Biden across the finish line? Or is he just made to feel comfortable until nature takes its course?
