Wuhan Lab Getting Taxpayer Funds Through 2024: Report

Wuhan Lab Getting Taxpayer Funds Through 2024: Report

Earlier this year, we introduced you to a self-professed dummy. This dummy questioned why we send so much money to other countries when we can't afford to fix things here in America. Keep that in mind as I draw your attention to this Daily Caller report on the Wuhan Institute of Virology — yes, that one — receiving American taxpayer funding through 2024.

I know there are some who feel it's racist to use the word Wuhan anywhere near the word virus. Including, I'm sure, many people who work at Facebook (the company we're suing). I'm merely sharing an article I found interesting. Feel free to decide on your own how it makes you feel.

The WIV is at the center of widespread speculation that COVID-19 could have entered the human population in China due to an accidental lab leak. Researchers at the lab were studying bat-based coronaviruses prior to the outbreak, a project partially backed by $600,000 in U.S. taxpayer funds routed to the lab through the nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance.

The $600,000 was taxpayer money received between 2014 and 2019. No word on how much taxpayer money WIV is expecting to get through 2024. Though, the $600,000 would be the equivalent of 428 $1,400 COVID relief checks for people who have been put out of work by the pandemic. It doesn't sound like much. Unless you are one of the 428 families who could use $1,400. A curious mind might wonder how many relief checks we can get out of the undetermined amount of taxpayer dollars sent to WIV through 2024.

The funds were received through a nonprofit called EcoHealth Alliance. Their president, Peter Daszak, was the only American member of the World Health Organization that invested COVID's possible origins in China. Daszak also, according to the Daily Caller, "said the White House should blindly accept the WHO's determination that it's highly unlikely that COVID-19 could have unintentionally leaked from the WIV." I find that to be an interesting factoid.

But hey, I'm not a scientist or an expert. I'm just a guy trying to follow the CDC guidelines as much as possible. I'm not here to question any of this. Though I could be once Parler gets its act together, or if more people sign up for our newsletter. I'm just a random blogger sharing an article. If you have an opinion about the article, that's on you.

If you decide to share that opinion in the comment section of this post on Facebook, that's on you as well.
