This Comedian Perfectly Sums Up 2020 with One Important Question: Is This What You Want?

This video really does speak for itself and is a perfect yet unfortunate recap of 2020 (see CNN ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSES ITSELF WITH THIS CHYRON EXCUSING VIOLENT RIOTS IN KENOSHA and THIS PATRIOT JUST PUT HIS CITY COUNCIL ON BLAST OVER THE SHUTDOWN, AND IT'S AWESOME!). Dave Smith is both a comedian and a libertarian, plus a member of the Legion of Skanks. Disclaimer: I've actually endorsed his opponent Luis Gomez to be president of the Skanks, but that's besides the point. Smith did a podcast recently where he goes over a lot that has been going on and asks a very important question we all need to be asking ourselves: Do you want this?

Not everyone started off at the same point with the pandemic or the Marxist political organization Black Lives Matter. I mean, my editor Courtney was against the shutdown from the beginning. But the American people as a whole, their patience was wearing thin even before the media, after telling us to stay home, started to broadcast riots into our homes. Every day, more and more rational, apolitical people are looking at the news and simply saying, "Dude, what the f*ck?"

People can no longer say they don't care about politics. Leftists are going to use politics against average Americans whether they like it or not. And we saw what happens if we willingly give the government the slightest bit of extra power, even if it made rational sense at the time. This is where are are now. You need to ask yourself: "Do you want this?"

If the answer is no, what are you going to do about it?

Nancy Pelosi is a detestable politician. I won't comment on her as a human being, because there is enough senior abuse on that side, with them still pushing Joe Biden out there. But Pelosi is literally the worst (see WATCH HOW NANCY PELOSI FLIPS OUT ON A REPORTER FOR QUESTIONING HER ON COVID AID and NANCY PELOSI EXCUSES MOB BEHAVIOR WITH A SHRUG). Here she is saying that there shouldn't be any presidential debates. But shhh, don't tell the Biden campaign. Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Poor Brian Stelter is probably beside himself over this.

I get that this could be an expectation-setting tactic. They did it with his convention speech. All Biden had to do was speak without stumbling or blowing methane out of his butt, and it would be considered a success. The bar wasn't just lowered. It was partially buried in the ground to make sure he didn't trip.

But Democrats don't want Joe Biden to debate for the same reason they don't want him leaving his house. Every time he interacts with people in a non-heavily scripted setting, he makes a buffoon out of him self. Multiply that by the millions and millions watching the debate.

To quote the greatest philosopher of this generation, @ComfortablySmug, today is going to be an insane day. Tomorrow doesn't look promising either. The internet is lousy with bad news, from riots to hurricanes to sports teams going on strike for reasons only known to them. My advice to you is to take this comedy break I'm providing. Because Cardi B clapped back at the Hodgetwins for their recent criticism of her (see THE HODGETWINS PICK APART CARDI B'S 'INTERVIEW' WITH JOE BIDEN and LENA DUNHAM FILMED HERSELF DANCING TO CARDI B'S "WAP" BECAUSE 2020 ISN'T AWFUL ENOUGH). Or, her publicist clapped back. Or, her soon-to-be-unemployed publicist clapped back.

Either way, Keith and Kevin had some fun with this response.

Hysterics aside, they brought up good points about celebrities who talk about politics being ignorant about politics they talk about. Same in their video about LeBron James. Like it or not, many Americans, particularly younger Americans, are apolitical. The little they do know, they tend to get from their favorite entertainers. It would be nice if some of those entertainers weren't imbeciles, especially when the more vocal an entertainer is, the less knowledgeable they generally are.

The Hodgetwins just want you to be better, Cardi. Help them help you.

On Wednesday, Jacob Blake's mother cautioned everyone to "get the details from the right source." That's hard to do when what would traditionally be the "right" source — the media — has made it perfectly clear it won't report facts if the facts get in the way of their agenda. Hence they call rioters "peaceful protesters" when they're anything but (see VIDEO CATCHES "PEACEFUL" PROTESTERS KNOCKING A MAN OUT FOR ASKING THEM TO LOWER THEIR VOICES and PORTLAND PROTESTERS ASSAULTED TWO OLD LADIES).

Here's a pro-tip for you, CNN. If you're standing in front of a burning building, it's not a peaceful protest. So try not to insult people with your chyrons.


Here's an idea. If the protests are really "mostly peaceful," show us that. Turn the camera around and show us the drum circles and the peaceful protesters singing Sam Cooke and the Mamas and the Papas songs peacefully. But CNN can't do that, because these aren't peaceful protests. These are violent riots started by Democrats, and they're starting to make Joe Biden look bad. Even worse, at least in the eyes of the media, they're starting to make Donald Trump look good.

CNN is taking "who are you going to believe, us or your lying eyes" to ridiculous limits. I know what my answer is.

It's getting increasingly hard to write about riots lately. Not because of the graphic images but because they've all started to blend together (see PEACEFUL: BLACK LIVES MATTER 'PROTESTER' POINTS A GUN AT REPORTER and BLACK LIVES MATTER ASSAULTS A WISCONSIN BUSINESS OWNER AFTER SETTING HIS BUSINESS ON FIRE). Overnight, they started rioting in Minneapolis again because someone killed himself, but the rumor was that he was shot by police. Which shows you "police" is just the convenient excuse.

Right now, intimidating and rioting in the streets is working for leftists. And it needs to stop working for them. Our leaders — yes, including President Trump — need to do something other than tweet about it. For an example of what kind of leadership we need, I give you Governor Ronald Reagan.

All of it began the first time some of you [in the media] who know better and are old enough to know better let young people think that they had the right to choose the laws they would obey as long as they were doing it in the name of social protest.

Ronald Reagan was a law and order president without shouting the words LAW AND ORDER. When Donald Trump addresses the American people tonight, this is what they need to hear him say. Or, IF Donald Trump addresses the American people, because the South is being hammered by one of two hurricanes. Because it's 2020.

But this country needs clear leadership and needs to send a clear message that the rioting and lawlessness are going to end the day before yesterday.
