'Not with My Children': Dad and Daughter Make Best Case Against Critical Race Theory You'll Ever See

'Not with My Children': Dad and Daughter Make Best Case Against Critical Race Theory You'll Ever See
Brodigan - June 01, 2021 at 03:08PM

Critical Race Theory is the left's new tool to divide Americans and play us off each other. In a nutshell, leftists believe any opinion they disagree with "favors white supremacy." And they want to start indoctrinating our kids young. What's odd is that the group largely pushing CRT are elite white liberals. Opposing CRT is an increasing collection of parents from all races and all skin colors who don't think school should be teaching children to hate each other. Add this father and his daughter to the list.

The dad talks about how he's raising his kid to be a kind and decent person who loves everyone and treats everyone equally. Like most parents. Then the video hits you right in the feels.

DAD: This is how children think right here. Critical Race Theory wants to end that. Not with my children. It's not going to happen. My baby's gonna know that no matter what she wants to be in life, all she has to do is work hard and she can become that.

DAUGHTER: Work hard. Even if you don't know anyone, you can make friends.

Excuse me.

Okay, I'm ready to continue.

DAD: Yeah, you can make friends no matter what color they are. So we need to stop CRT. Period. Point blank. Children do not see skin color. They love everybody. If they're good people, they love them.

Amen.

It's good to remember that, contrary to what the progressive media-entertainment complex wants you to believe, this is the way most Americans think. We're all raising our kids exactly like this gentleman is raising his, regardless of what what we look like or where we're from. Always remember that there are more of us than there are those whose political agenda depend on us being divided.

Ron DeSantis Signs Pro-Girls' Sports Bill, Protects Female Athletes from Competing Against Biological Males

Ron DeSantis Signs Pro-Girls' Sports Bill, Protects Female Athletes from Competing Against Biological Males
Brodigan - June 01, 2021 at 12:38PM

Girls' sports has become a contentious issue in American politics. Specifically, whether or not it is fair for transgender girls who were born biological males to compete against biological girls. One side points to the unfair biological advantage people who were born male have, which in turn robs female students of scholarships and opportunities. The other side claims the first side is a bunch of transphobes. One side is composed of a majority of Americans. On the other side, the radical left and whatever corporations they are able to cyberbully into agreeing with them. Something tells me America's Governor Ron DeSantis signing a bill protecting girls' sports on the first day of Pride Month is going to ruffle a few feathers.

Woman Goes Full Beast Mode, Saves Dogs by Fighting Off BEAR

Woman Goes Full Beast Mode, Saves Dogs by Fighting Off BEAR
Brodigan - June 01, 2021 at 12:02PM

Dogs are better than people. Just ask Medal of Honor recipient Conan. Or Major Biden. There is little that dog owners won't do for their far superior family members. But a California woman has raised the measuring stick for how far a person will go to protect her canine companions. She fought off a bear. No, really. A bear.

This video from TikTok has been working its way around the interwebs. Leading to the obvious question, what did YOU do over your three-day weekend?

Good news from the woman who posted the video:

"PSA: The dogs and her are okay. No, she doesn't do this on the regular. They were all outside gardening when the pups noticed the bear."

I'd like to believe I would show the same courage if I was ever in this same situation. I'd also hope that I was wearing my brown shorts because the dogs might blame the smell on me for a change. I'd also need a whole bottle of Jack Daniels to calm my nerves.

The woman in question didn't even blink. As soon as she saw the Mama Bear's head peeking over the fence, she went at it full force. I don't even think she had a weapon of any sort. If it came down to it, the bear was going to get those bare hands.

Everyone loves their dogs. If it were a pet cat, meh.

John Cena's China Pandering Backfires: 'F9' Tanks in Movie Theaters

John Cena's China Pandering Backfires: 'F9' Tanks in Movie Theaters
Brodigan - June 01, 2021 at 10:33AM

The only thing worse than bending over and spreading cheeks for Communist China? Bending over, spreading cheeks, and not getting paid for it. John Cena was forced last week to beg for China's forgiveness. He was doing promo for F9 and called Taiwan a "country." Taiwan IS a country. You just can't say that out loud. Cena was forced to grovel and show how tiny his testicles were because if he didn't, the movie franchise would lose money. So he did.

And the move franchise, allegedly, lost money anyway.

Chinese filmgoers have hit the brakes on Justin Lin's F9. The Universal tentpole downshifted 85 percent in its second weekend, earning just $20.8 million compared to its $136 million roaring opening weekend.

That's far weaker than the preceding franchise mainstays Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious, which topped out at $390.9 million in 2015 and $392.8 million in 2017, respectively. Chinese ticketing app Maoyan currently projects F9 to finish at $211.9 million.

Sure, $211.9 million is a sh!tton of money. But Hollywood blockbusters are based on expectations. They expect to make MORE money than the last movies. Not almost 50% LESS. Plus that $211 million doesn't factor in exorbitant actor salaries, marketing, the cost of making a movie where cars ignore all laws of gravity, etc.

It's hard to tell for sure if Cena's international incident is what cost the studio all this money. The article says reviews were pretty bad as well. Maybe the Chinese all woke up one day and realized the Fast & Furious franchise is the Wuhan Institute of movie franchises. Just saying, there could be a number of factors.

It could only be ironic that after Cena upset the CCP, the box office fell by 85%. I doubt it is, though. And that makes Cena's pathetic video all the more embarrassing.

Brodigan - June 01, 2021 at 09:57AM

Welcome to the first day of Cultural Appropriation Month! Talking all things virus lab leaks, Ellie Kemper and the Veiled Prophet, Stephen Colbert's creative John Cena subtitling, Blue's Clues going super woke, and Rand Paul throwing down on the precious Dr. Fauci!

LOG ON TO MUG CLUB TO WATCH TODAY'S SHOW!

ELLIE KEMPER

  • She was not a KKK princess, as people are trying to claim.
    • The photo of her was taken at the 1999 Veiled Prophet Ball in St. Louis. SOURCE: Twitter
    • The Veiled Prophet was founded in the late 1800s, while the KKK wasn't established until 1915. SOURCE: Newsweek
    • It's basically just a debutante ball. SOURCE: TheSun
    • The alleged "ties" to the KKK originate from this photo, taken over 100 years ago of the "Veiled Prophet."

RAND PAUL VS. ANTHONY FAUCI

  • Rand Paul and Fauci have sparred throughout the COVID pandemic. Paul turned out to be right about ... everything.
  • FAUCI CLAIM: Lockdowns work!
    • Studies have shown neither lockdowns nor masks were significantly effective in mitigating COVID-19. SOURCES: Twitter, PNAS, MedRxiv, Frontiers
    • The original purpose of the lockdown was to "slow the spread" so as not to overwhelm the health care systems. It was never intended to be a cure, and it can't prevent people from dying.
  • FAUCI CLAIM: Herd immunity is "nonsense" and not a "fundamental strategy." Rand Paul said it is the only strategy. SOURCES: Yahoo News, MSNBC, Fox News
  • FAUCI CLAIM: Kids can't go back to school. SOURCE: Twitter
    • Kids aren't significantly affected by COVID, not even as much as by the flu. SOURCE: CDC
      • "Based on the data available, in-person learning in schools has not been associated with substantial community transmission."
      • "Though outbreaks do occur in school settings, multiple studies have shown that transmission within school settings is typically lower than – or at least similar to – levels of community transmission, when prevention strategies are in place in schools."
      • Less than 10% of COVID cases have been among kids ages 5-17. SOURCE: CDC
    • Kids are also not significant carriers. SOURCE: JAMA

      • Increased suicides;
      • Lower grades and higher failure rates.
  • FAUCI CLAIM: Even if you've been vaccinated or had COVID, you still need to wear a mask. SOURCE: Twitter
    • The CDC lifted the mask mandate for vaccinated people on May 13. The arbitrary date confirms what everyone already knew: Vaccinated people are immune, and the mask was always just for show.
    • Fauci admitted Paul was right about the "mask theater." SOURCE: Twitter
    • Another recent study found COVID immunity could last for life. SOURCE: Nature
  • FAUCI CLAIM The NIH never funded the Wuhan lab! SOURCE: MSN
    • Yes, it did. And Fauci even admitted it, but didn't think the Chinese would lie about gain-of-function research. SOURCE: Twitter
    • Fauci previously wrote he supported gain-of-function research and argued its benefits outweighed the possibility of a pandemic. In a 2012 paper published on PubMed, Fauci wrote: "In an unlikely but conceivable turn of events, what if that scientist becomes infected with the virus, which leads to an outbreak and ultimately triggers a pandemic? [...] Scientists working in this field might say—as indeed I have said—that the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks." NCBI

"AMERICAN DREAM IS DEAD" DEBUNKED

  • People will claim the American dream is dead, and that's why so many Millennials are struggling. SOURCES: KTVU, YouTube, CBS News, The Hill, YouTube

      • Compared to just 24-28% in 2017.
    • Baby Boomers were also more frugal. They went on fewer vacations, didn't eat out a lot. SOURCE: Yahoo
    • Life expectancy for men was 70. SOURCE: Berkeley
  • What could cause Millennials to have less wealth?
    • In 2015, 40% of Millennials were unemployed. SOURCE: CNBC
    • And COVID made it worse. About 5.6M more Millennials became unemployed from February to April 2020. SOURCE: StLouisFed
    • This isn't for lack of jobs. Millennials just don't want to do the jobs available to them.
    • As many as 2.1 million manufacturing jobs will be unfulfilled through 2030, one of the most significant worker shortages in American history, despite relatively high unemployment from the pandemic. SOURCES: NAM. NBC
    • The shortage could cost $1 trillion by 2030 and is forcing companies to automate. SOURCE: CNBC
    • Many of the unfulfilled jobs include computer numerical control machinists, welders, and maintenance technicians, which pay, on average: SOURCES: ZipRecruiter, ZipRecruiter, ZipRecruiter
      • WELDING: $80K/year
      • NUMERICAL CONTROL MACHINISTS: About $45K at the entry level.
      • MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS: About $40K a year at the entry level.
    • And would only cost as little as $5,000 to reach certification through trade school. SOURCES: MidwestTech
  • Average salaries of people with degrees in art or social sciences come out to around $30K-$40K, but with much higher unemployment rates post-college. SOURCE: BachelorofArts.com
    • The unemployment rate for political science degrees is over 11%, compared to a $43K average salary. SOURCE: KStateCollegian
    • Not to mention the enormous cost of student debt, $1.7 trillion. SOURCE: CNBC
    • Students with a lot of debt made bad choices that got them into that position. Majors like education, art history, ethnic studies aren't high-earning fields, but they require a lot of student loans.
    • The majors with the highest earnings-to-debt ratio are STEM degrees. SOURCE: Infogram
    • And anywhere from 20%-50% of students enter school as "undecided," and most end up changing their major! SOURCE: PennState
    • Compare that to trade school, which provides 70% less debt and twice the job placement for similar or HIGHER starting salaries. SOURCES: SimpleDollar, BusinessInsider

'Kimmy Schmidt' Star Ellie Kemper Under Fire for Winning Beauty Pageant in 1999 Twitter Claims Is Racist

'Kimmy Schmidt' Star Ellie Kemper Under Fire for Winning Beauty Pageant in 1999 Twitter Claims Is Racist
Brodigan - June 01, 2021 at 07:27AM

Twitter is a stupid place full of stupid people. Exhibit Q is why Ellie Kemper is trending today. The first question, I'm sure, that comes to mind is ... who? She plays Kimmy Schmidt and, much more importantly, Erin from The Office. Another show that will occasionally trend for really stupid reasons. Kemper must have done something really bad to be outed as an alleged "KKK Princess." Her crime? Winning a beauty pageant in 1999. Twenty-two years ago.

Here's what Twitter is telling us now:

In 1999, actor Ellie Kemper was named the Queen of Love and Beauty at the Veiled Prophet Ball, a debutante ball held in St. Louis, Missouri, which was founded by wealthy White elites in 1878 and 'emphasized the existing power structure', according to The Atlantic's Scott Beauchamp.

Had Kemper just been trending over The Atlantic writing an article, this story would be stupid enough. Then you dig through the trend and discover the article is from 2014 and Twitter users with no lives decided to dig it up yesterday.

The article says the ball was funded by "wealthy white elites" back in 1877 and "emphasized the existing power structure." Kemper won the pageant in 1999, one hundred and twenty-two years later, when she was 19.

It also notes the club's "history with racism." Black members were only allowed to join in 1979. Twenty years before Kemper won the pageant when she was nineteen.

Everyone can guess what happens next. Ellie Kemper will release a statement written by her PR firm. The actress will apologize for winning a beauty pageant in 1999 without knowing the original "racist" roots of the organization that was formed over a century before. There will be no excuse for her as a teenager not living her life according to 2021 standards. She will beg for forgiveness that, at age 19, she was not aware of her white privilege even though white privilege has only been a thing for a few years. Then she'll cut a check to the Black Lives Matter Political Organization as penance. All because a few idiots on Twitter were bored.

As I said before, the platform is stupid and many of the users on it are worse. When a famous person starts trending, just assume the story is as ridiculous as this one.

Biden Admin Plans to Pay Central America So People Won't Illegally Cross Our Border

Biden Admin Plans to Pay Central America So People Won't Illegally Cross Our Border
Brodigan - June 01, 2021 at 07:21AM

Joe Biden dropped his enormous, biggest-since-World-War-II budget on Friday. Yes, the day before a three-day weekend. Yes, most likely hoping that people wouldn't read it. Expect all sorts of fun things to be exposed this week that Biden wants to spend your tax dollars on and claim he's not going to raise your taxes for. Though one budget line did leak before everyone peaced out for the weekend. Close to a billion dollars to Central America to pay them to stop people from illegally crossing our border.

The administration plans to provide $861 million in federal aid to El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico in order to "address the root causes of irregular migration," according to the proposed budget for 2022. Vice President Kamala Harris asked private sector companies to "make new, significant commitments" to create sustainable economic opportunities aimed at ending the migration crisis at the southern border on Thursday, according to the White House.

This was floated to as a trial balloon two months ago. The plan is to address the "root cause of illegal migration." Even though the root cause of our border crisis is Joe Biden saying "donde esta open border amigos!" Or, if you ask Nancy Pelosi, climate change 'n' Trump.

Think about this. And I understand $861 million in the budget is the equivalent of finding a five-dollar bill in the laundry. That's a whole other problem. We're told a major part of the "root cause" of why people come here illegally is to flee poverty and corruption in their home countries. Our solution to this is ... to give the corrupt government causing their people to live in poverty a canvas sack of AMERICAN TAXPAYER money with a dollar sign on it. I'm as sure that the Biden admin will claim there are conditions to this money as I am there will be no consequences after the countries getting the money say, "lol, suckers."

Separate from the budget, I'm curious what the private sector making "new and significant commitments" to create economic opportunities means. It sounds like outsourcing. Which, if a company DID outsource to Central America, the unions that control Biden would be the first to demand those companies have tax breaks taken away.

If you want to address the true root cause of illegal immigration, address us not being allowed to enforce border laws that are already on the books. The border crisis can be addressed with four words: You can't come in.
