Liberal reporters being glorified activists is nothing new. Neither is them selectively editing footage. But to do it so brazenly assuming there won't be any consequences, you almost have to admire the moxie. Then it just makes you stabby.
"60 Minutes" did a piece on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and a "certain shot" everyone wants us to get. Starts with the letter "V." If I say it too much, Facebook may throttle us. The media has already lashed out at Gov. DeSantis for being too good at getting needles in arms, implying that there's politics involved. At issue is the grocery chain Publix. DeSantis struck a deal for Publix to distribute these certain shots. Publix, unrelatedly, donated $100K to DeSantis' PAC. Publix is also, as anyone who has spent any time in Florida will tell you, is INSANELY popular with Floridians. They won't stop talking about it. If the end goal is getting as many needles in arms as possible, working with a store everyone in Florida loves makes sense.
But DeSantis is popular among Republicans, so the media needs to circle the wagons. "Reporter" Sharyn Alfonsi confronted DeSantis at a press conference. Here's what aired on "60 Minutes."
AOC introduced a total of 21 bills ... Her legislation received no action in committees, no floor votes, and none ever became law, according to the center, which takes its data from Congress.gov.
"She introduced a lot of bills, but she was not successful at having them receive any sort of action in committee or beyond committee and if they can't get through committee they cannot pass the House. It's clear that she was trying to get her legislative agenda moving and engage with the lawmaking process. But she wasn't as successful as some other members were — even among [other] freshmen — at getting people to pay attention to her legislation," Alan Wiseman, a Vanderbilt political scientist and co-director of the center, told The [New York] Post.
Out of 240 Democrats, she ranked 230. She was also the least effective of all New York Democrats.
Legislating is hard work. It involves getting along with other people you may not agree with. Working together to reach a common goal. Building consensus. All things that Rep. AOC has shown no interest in doing. Even when Senator Ted Cruz reached out over GamestopGate, an issue Senator Ted Cruz and Rep. AOC agree on, she got all prissy about it.
Rep. AOC likes the attention of being a congresswoman. She likes the popularity that comes from people who agree with her telling her that they agree with her. Which is whatever. She's a NYC Democrat. She's guaranteed the job for as long as she wants it, regardless of if she's effective at it or not. There's just a huge difference between being good at tweeting and being good at doing things that matter.
Now here's a pissed-off Gov. Kemp with a warning to all other states. Cancel culture is coming for them too unless they start nutting up.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp: "Major League Baseball put the wishes of Stacey Abrams and Joe Biden ahead of the economic well-being of hardworking Georgians who were counting on the All Star Game for a paycheck." https://t.co/tiP897JkMkpic.twitter.com/YujQlAHm6W

In the middle of a pandemic, Major League Baseball put the wishes of Stacey Abrams and Joe Biden ahead of the economic well-being of hard-working Georgians who were counting on the All-Star Game for a paycheck. Georgians and all Americans should know what this decision means. It means cancel culture and partisan activists are coming for your business. They're coming for your game or your event in your hometown. And they're coming to cancel everything from sports to how you make a living. They will stop at nothing to silence all of us. They don't care about jobs, They don't care about our communities. And they certainly don't care about access to the ballot box. Because if they did, Major League Baseball would have announced they were moving their headquarters fron New York yesterday.
Let's take a breath because this next part is important. I want you to think how many activists in the New York media and/or who went on the New York media repeated the talking point that Georgia's law was Jim Crow 2: Electric Boogaloo. That was the main lie that is causing companies to take a stand about a bill they didn't read.
In New York, they have ten days of early voting. In Georgia, we have a minimum of seventeen.
In New York, you have to have an excuse to vote by absentee. In Georgia, you can vote by absentee for any reason.
It's easier to vote in Georgia than it is in New York.
Georgia tightening some voter laws STILL makes it easier to vote in Georgia than it is in New York. If companies like MLB and Delta and Coke really care about access to the ballot box, they would announce they will stop doing business in New York. As would, if they were intellectually honest, all the media companies speaking out about Georgia. But if the media companies were honest, they wouldn't allow BlueAnon conspiracy theorists to still question the legitimacy of the 2018 Georgia governor's race. SPOILER: Stacey Abrams lost.
None of this is about voting access. It's about partisan activism and it's about corporate virtue signaling. More leaders like Brian Kemp need to start calling it out.
Why The Left Doesn't Get NUANCE And Blames Objects! | Louder With Crowder youtu.be
"Why does MLB still have antitrust immunity?" Lee tweeted. "It's time for the federal government to stop granting special privileges to specific, favored corporations—especially those that punish their political opponents."
Cruz then added that he and Lee would be working "hard to END MLB's antitrust immunity."
MLB's antitrust exemption has been in place since a 1922 Supreme Court decision ruled that the league is a sport and not a business. The National Football League, National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League don't have the same exemption.
To be clear, the fact detractors of the bill are engaged in a misinformation campaign? That's according to the MAINSTREAM media. Whether or not Joe Biden knows he is lying or even where he is or who's talking to him, that's open for debate.
It's hard for any White House to admit error, especially when the president has three times repeated the falsehood. But this is becoming a pretty deep hole. https://t.co/BMidMOYyC0

Remarkable that misinformation about the GA elections bill led MLB to move the All Star Game out of Atlanta.

It's insane that having to get legislators involved is really the only course of action. Companies like Major League Baseball bend the knee and pander to the left because there are no consequences for doing so. Normal people don't speak out because normal people don't care where the all-star game is played. Leftist political activists demand their agenda be validated by every platform everywhere. Companies like the MLB cave because it's the easy way out to get people to stop criticizing them on Twitter and cable news. They know no one is actually going to boycott baseball. Or stop flying Delta. Or switch to Pepsi.
The only recourse is if companies are going to take political sides, they lose their government protection. Maybe when these companies know they can lose tens of millions of dollars, they'll think twice before caving to the left.
.@RealClearNews's @PhilipWegmann asks Jen Psaki if the Biden White House is so adamant about having MLB move its All-Star Game from Georgia because of the voting law, why aren't they calling for a boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing?!
RCN's PHILIP WEGMANN: The president has voiced his support for the All-Star Game in Georgia. I'm wondering when we can expect a final determination from the president on the US participating in the Beijing Olympics. Given that he said the Chinese president doesn't have a Democratic bone in his body.
PSAKI: That's for the Olympic committee to weigh in on.
WEGMAN: But he weighed in on Major League Baseball.
PSAKI: He actually didn't.
WEGMAN: He actually did.
PSAKI: Nuh-uh.
WEGMAN: Yes way,
PSAKI: Shut up, I hate you.
That's less an accurate transcript and more a dramatic interpretation of what I heard in my brain. Obviously, you know this after watching the video! But the bottom line is Psaki avoided an actual answer for the question.
You see, while what China does to the Uighur Muslims and the Taiwanese is bad, not to mention that whole coronavirus thingy, Biden can't score woke points speaking out against that. In Biden's own jumbled-up thinking, those are just cultural differences. Speaking out on the All-Star Game sends a more powerful message to activists in this country that, if you lie about a bill you don't like, Joe Biden has your back if he thinks it will help him politically.
It would be more helpful to Jen Psaki if reporters would just go along with it, instead of asking her difficult, yet extremely important, questions.
UPDATE: Five minutes after this was published, Major League Baseball bent the knee and is pulling the All-Star Game out of Georgia.

It's important to share this for two reasons. The first is because "good guy with a gun" stories are more important than ever. Joe Biden has made it clear that gun control is next on his extreme agenda. If Biden had his druthers, this man could have been unarmed and this could have been an obituary. The second is that there are so few perfect stories these days. How often do you come across one involving man's two best friends: his dog and his gun?
Meet James Harden and Angel. Angel woke up Harden when she spotted an intruder in their home.
Pup Named Angel Alerts Owner After Intruder Breaks Into Temple City Home youtu.be
"We're proud to know that we rescued someone that rescued us."
"The only thing that stopped me from pulling the trigger was the fact that I said, 'That could be somebody's daddy.' And I didn't want to leave a child homeless."
That's the sentimental, mushy part. The badass part is when Harden kicked open the bathroom door, pointed his gun at the intruder's head, and said, "Do not move! I will blow you away!" The story could only be more perfect if Angel ran in and bit the intruder in his dick, chomping away until the cops showed up.
Thanks to a brave little pooch and the Second Amendment, James Harden is able to share his tale with the boys at the VFW Hall this weekend. He should be bought all the beers. While Angel gets a big, juicy steak.
Joe Biden spent so much time campaigning that he could overturn every Donald Trump decision, he never stopped to ask if he should. Like the guy from Jurassic Park, if you replace the dinosaurs with illegal immigrants all coming to our southern border because they think Joe Biden invited them. Ted Cruz has been along the border to expose just how horrible things have gotten under the Biden administration. The Texas senator shared with the press what he believes are the three biggest mistakes that Joe Biden has made.
Ted Cruz: Biden made "three decisions in particular that provoked this crisis" on border youtu.be
Number one, the first week in office, Joe Biden immediately halted construction on the border wall.
The second decision the Biden administration made was to reinstate the failed "Catch and Release" policy. So that now when individuals are apprehanded, they're given a court date sometime in the future. They're released. And everyone knows only a very small percentage will show up for that court date.
And third, probably most inexplicable, Joe Biden ended the "Remain in Mexico" international agreement. President Trump had negotiated with Mexico an agreement that individuals from Central America who are crossing illegally through Mexico would remain in Mexico while their asylum cases were proceeding in the United States.
I'd be curious to hear Biden challenged on these three decisions and see if he feels these weren't mistakes and why. I know he dumped off dealing with the crisis on Kamala Harris, so he might have forgotten there's even a problem. I'd still be interested in hearing his excuses.
