No one knew how CNN was going to handle itself once Donald Trump was gone. For five years, having bad opinions of Donald Trump was most CNN employees' only personality trait. At least in my opinion. If someone were to fact-check that statement, I'm sure CNN employees would deny such a claim. All while avoiding eye contact with the alleged fact-checker. There may have possibly been a warm sensation going down said employees' leg. As is (allegedly) usual for CNN. CNN enjoys talking about Donald Trump as much as most of us enjoy coitus. Otherwise knowns as doing the nasty. In the case of Brian "I'm Not a Potato" Stelter, even more so.

Exhibit Q: John Berman. Watch this clip and his alleged rhetorical mistake. Accident? Or could Berman possibly have been having a tingly sensation in his crotchal area because he was talking about Donald Trump again? Freudian slips are known to pop up at the worst times. I'll let YOU be the judge.

I'll be honest. I'll sometimes say "erection" instead of "election." Not because I get the words confused. I'm just mentally a child. And LOL sex! Onomatopoetically, it at least makes sense. But we're talking about the difference of a single letter. Insurrection has two whole syllables more than the other word. You have to work really hard (giggity) at confusing those two words. Unless of course, Berman had an insurrection in his pants knowing they were letting him talk about the Orangeman again. I have no proof of this. It probably was just a slip of the tongue. Though I hope John Berman knows when Jim Acosta asks him to go sword fighting during the impeachment trials, he doesn't mean fencing.

The lockdowns opened many Americans' eyes to politics. Having politicians lock down the economy and leaving people with nothing to do but watch news of those politicians breaking those lockdowns can do that. Americans had no idea just how big and reckless our government has gotten. Not until they realized that governors with the stroke of a press conference could shut down your ability to support your family. Or take away your job with an executive order. Or even screw your stocks and investments by calling up your broker and saying, "Hey, f*** these people." I can't be the only blogger who had family members get based during the pandemic, discover conservative media, and constantly pester you with "Did you know about this" questions.

Lots of people are realizing what dummies they've been. Or what a huge dummy they just elected president. This bro is such a dummy, he admits to not being as smart as Joe Biden. Yet he has an important question more actual dummies in Congress need to do a better job explaining.

This guy isn't a dummy at all. I actually think he sounds wicked smart. Though possibly conflicted whether he's still allowed to cheer for Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. If anything, the question makes me feel like a dummy because it's the most common one asked by newly awakened family members. And my answer is usually, "I have no f*cking idea."

Like, say what you will about the stimulus checks. Or the fact that people only need them from the government because of the government-mandated fiscal hardship. When you tell us you can't afford to send aid to the American people, can you not do it in the same bill you're giving money to other countries? Or, I don't know, maybe at least ATTEMPT to explain why? Maybe there's a good reason you can't send taxpayers more than $600 of their tax dollars back to them because you "need" to send money overseas. I'd be open to listening. Unless the politician thinks the American people are all dummies. Or is too big a dummy themselves.

We need more "dummies" like this guy asking questions. Bonus points for asking them on TikTok to a younger audience that most needs to hear them.

The year after a presidential election has always been fun to watch. No sooner does the Associated Press declare a winner than people start preparing to run against the winner in four years. Random speeches from elected officials sound like auditions for the national stage. A clear example of this is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The pandemic has launched him on the national stage. More specifically, his having a contrary response to the pandemic while being a Republican. The media tends not to like that.

Here the governor is speaking to the people of Florida. Though, visually, it almost looks like he's addressing a broader audience.

While so many other states kept locking people down, Florida kept lifting people up. We believe every job is essential. You work in a restaurant, we have your back. If you are a hairstylist, we protect your right to earn a living. And if you are a parent, we ensure your kids have the right to attend school in person. Lockdowns do not work. School closures have been disastrous. Yet even today, we see across our country business shuttered, lives ruined, and schools closed.

Florida schools are open. Every Floridian has a right to work. All businesses have a right to operate. And Florida will be better for it.

DeSantis makes a (potential) run for president very interesting. Conservatives have grown tired of listening to people tell us what we want to hear, only to not back it up once they get elected. Florida's governor has a record of talking about it AND being about it. Not only that, but he did so in the face of national media attacks. Being the governor of the former president's home state doesn't hurt matters either. If Ron DeSantis does decide national politics are for him, I think he's a clear front-runner in four years.
