TikTok User Wants to Cancel James Corden for Making Fun of Asian Food. No, Really.

TikTok User Wants to Cancel James Corden for Making Fun of Asian Food. No, Really.

James Corden is being canceled. No, not for being criminally unfunny. Like, so unfunny, it's as if he spends hours every day honing his craft to be this unfunny. Corden is being canceled because he upset a TikTok user, Kim Saira. That user is Asian. Corden has a segment on his showed called "Spill Your Guts," where guests need to either answer questions or eat disgusting food. That food is occasionally Asian food. Somehow, this ties into the rash of anti-Asian hate running wild throughout America. I don't get it either, but here's the petition.

He's presented foods such as balut, century old eggs, and chicken feet, and which are often regularly eaten by Asian people. During these segments, he's openly called these foods "really disgusting," and "horrific." In the wake of the constant Asian hate crimes that have continuously been occurring, not only is this segment incredibly culturally offensive and insensitive, but it also encourages anti-Asian racism. So many Asian Americans are consistently bullied and mocked for their native foods, and this segment amplifies and encourages it.

Close to 13,000 people are demanding these videos be removed from the internet and the segment be stopped immediately. Here's a clip of a recent segment. No Asian food here, but plenty of animal genitalia.

Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen Plan to Unite America with a Podcast. No, Really.

Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen Plan to Unite America with a Podcast. No, Really.

The concept of "unity" has become parody in politics. Electing Joe Biden was done to bring America together. When Democrats say America needs to unite, it means half the country needs to shut up and think what Democrats want them to think. Or at least those are the feelings of some Americans who don't write algorithms for Facebook. "Unity" has become the new "you're a racist" if you disagree with the left on any issue for any reason. But don't worry, America. Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen are going to fix things with a brand-new podcast.

File this under "the left is beyond parody."

Spotify announced that the former president and rockstar Bruce Springsteen — yes, you read that right — will host a show called Renegades: Born in the USA exclusively for the audio platform. They'll discuss "race, fatherhood, marriage, and the state of America," per a press release, and the first two episodes premiere today for both free and premium Spotify users.

When race comes up, I can't wait to hear their thoughts on the 8 White Identities. Or how white people should be less white. Springsteen dumping on the people who made him who he is will be fun. I can't wait for the interview with Joe Biden either. Between him and "the Boss," they're going to need closed captioning on the audio podcast to understand what either is saying.

Also, can we please stop with the idea of Bruce Springsteen being the voice of a voiceless generation? In the '70s and '80s, maybe. Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town both still hold up as quality albums. No amount of 2021 leftist douchebaggery will take that away from Springsteen. But enough with this idea of him as the Boomer Whisperer. He hasn't done anything musically relevant for over two decades. Most of his fans who still remember him are the ones left behind by his new political ideology. Today's generation just knows him as an old white guy who tells them what they want to hear. Which I guess is enough these days. Just look at the halo around Anthony Fauci.

All of what ails America will be solved by two people who have the exact same ideology and agree on everything. All done in podcast form. Again, the left is beyond satire. The funny thing is if Obama did a podcast talking with people who disagree with and might challenge him, that could actually be interesting.

AOC Contradicts Herself on Cancel Culture in Less Than 30 Minutes. It's Impressive, Really.

AOC Contradicts Herself on Cancel Culture in Less Than 30 Minutes. It's Impressive, Really.

Of course Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would think cancel culture isn't a thing. There's nothing she says that you can't find in the comment section of VOX, or a "silly socialist talking points" subreddit (see AOC: LIFT YOURSELF UP BY YOUR BOOTSTRAPS? "PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE" and AOC SAYS YOU SHOULDN'T GO BACK TO WORK. HERE'S HER DUMB REASON). But I have to be honest. The way she manages to contradict herself in two tweets within twenty minutes of each other is a remarkable feat.

Typical liberal nonsense, referencing the Harper's letter on canceling cancel culture that causes millions of leftist panties to get bunched up. But what makes this particularly amusing is that this was Congresswoman AOC twenty minutes earlier.

"Cancel culture its totes fake" less than a half an hour after "cancel this person I totes don't like." But let's circle back to "odds are you're not actually cancelled." That gets thrown around as a rebuttal a lot, along with "this is the free market." It's a lot like saying "all lives matter" in that you've completely missed the point. The problem isn't people calling for boycotts or saying they aren't going to spend their money with someone they don't like. I don't spend my money with people I don't like. I just manage to do it without signaling my virtue to you about it.

The problem is the attitude from the left that anyone who has a platform that they aren't using to promote the progressive agenda — or worse, challenges the progressive agenda — needs to be shut down and destroyed. Doesn't matter if it's Goya Foods, Barstool Sports, Joe Rogan, a journalist who retweets a study, an editor who runs an op-ed, a professor who allows debate, or a local restaurant owner who participates in charities involving the local police department. It doesn't matter if their platform is big or small. If they have one and they aren't validating your leftist world view, they need to be silenced. One person doing it is an insufferable douche. Thousands of people doing it is a culture of insufferable douches.

Hence, cancel culture.
